Accidentially I moved it too far and below the status field on my screen, and now I can't drag it up as I usually do (normally I keep it opened and placed as far downwards as possible and when I needed just drag it up in the middle of the screen).

I think it doesn't help to restart MemoQ because it will remember the settings and keep the Concordance window in the same position as before.

Call up TaskMaster with CTRL + ALT + DEL, close MemoQ, and restart it. Your assumption is wrong; the window won't reopen in the same place. You will probably already have resolved this by the time you read this.

I get the above message, every time I confirm a segment.

I am not sure what has happened. This message began to display the last time I was using MemoQ - in a completely different project (that had been working fine previously). As the project was nearly complete, and the documents were synchronising fine, I didn't get around to trying to fix it.

However, it's now back, and displaying (with a loud chime) on every segment. If I go to the resources, the TM is indeed checked as "read-only", but the checkbox is greyed out, so I can't uncheck it.

I've navigated to the TM in Windows Explorer, and removed the read-only access there, but it makes no difference to MemoQ.

I am running MemoQ 7.8.175 on Windows 10.

Anyone had this before?

You could always recreate the TM.

Export the TM to a TMX, create a new TM and re-import the TMX.

Hello everyone!

Just purchased MemoQ and tried to set up machine translation on it and upload Microsoft MT plugin. I worked out how to do this on MemoQ but I have got stuck on Azure. I managed to create a new subscription but it doesn’t allow me to go further. Keep getting this message: Could not create the marketplace item This marketplace item is not available.

I even typed in the link I found here that was posted in 2017 but it doesn’t work either. Followed the steps that was provided by MemoQ but the same happens.
Has anyone downloaded MemoQ recently and set up Microsoft MT plugin? How did you manage Azure please???

Hi, does anybody know how to delete cloud/remote TMs from the list? I'm using memoQ 2014, and basically one of my clients has dumped a list of every single TM in every single language combination on my list of TMs. Last time I reinstalled memoQ, but would rather avoid it.

Does anyone know how to retrieve a deleted term base in memoQ or if it's possible at all? It's not in my computer's trash can nor in the term bases file in the MemoQ Program Data file...

Choose MANAGE LOGINS options on TRANSLATION MEMORIES screen
And select FORGET SERVER

But you will loose access to the server, of course

Hello Katalin,

Setting the plugin for Microsoft MT through their Azure platform is a nightmare. It is like Google: they're becomming monsters that nobody really understands how it goes. I have abandonned the hope to ever use it. A pity because it is a good competitor to the GG one.

I just downloaded MemoQ 8.5, but they refused to just open, and let me enter the server address. They wanted a license beforehand. My agency has given me the license access but apparently the version does not want to work that way. What does one do? Thank you.

Hello, I need to do a project for a client that is on a server. I used that server before, but now the window to select that server will not open. Instead, given the file list, I seem stuck with a server that I worked on last night. I use 8.5. Thank you.

Hello, I am a bit late but I hope this helps.

I use memoQ 2015. There is a memoQ Server button on the Projects ribbon. There you can "manage logins".

I have clients who have projects on more than one server. So, everytime I work on a server project, I make memoQ forget the login information and then enter the server and login details again.

I just had the same problem with not being able to open one of my projects in memoQ. What I got was "General error" with information that DocumentData.sdf is being used by another program. After trying to restart memoQ several times with the same result and closing it again, I opened Task Manager (Windows 10) -> Processes, just to see that for some reason memoQ is still running but not responding.

What helped in my case was clicking on the process, ending task and then reopening memoQ. After that I was able to open the project again.

Dear all,

Since my customer has updated their MemoQ server I have no access via MemoQ 2015 under Windows XP. It works under Windows 7 using the same MemoQ version, though.

My guess is that it has to do with the fact that the server now uses "Secure Tcp" as opposed to "Tcp".

I found instructions under [url removed]

Here, they say: "It is not recommended to use Secure TCP. To set up a secure connection, use HTTPS" (whatever this means).

Is there any chance to make MemoQ communicate again under WinXP with this server? Does WinXP support "Secure Tcp" at all?
