MemoQ not running under Windows 8.1

without asking me my PC upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and while still working fine under Windows 8, MemoQ is not running any more in Windows 8.1, i.e. the software starts initializing but doesn't get to an end, not even after hours of waiting. No error messages, nothing.

Can anyone help?
