I did, and the rule appears in the list, as follows:

Source: $ (with a space before)
Destination: $ (no space)
Scale: 1
Offset: 0
Source order: unchecked
Dest order: checked

When I run Preview, I get:

Before auto-translation: 123 $
After auto-translation: 123 $

But it should be $123 after autotranalation
