Good morning.
My Memoq version is 8.0.29 (Adriatic) and my big recent problem is the following:

I am working online and whenever I try to export a QA report (on my hard disk) the html file shows only error messages, like these:

{{::placeholders.qaSettings}}:
{{::projectDetails.projectName}}

and I have no possibilities to read any useful information after correcting the QA errors online.

I think that the problem is working online but:
- at the beginning of this project, this export procedure was possible, so something strange should have happened recently
- I do not know how to work offline and then export my QA from here: a standard procedure given me by my custormers does not work

When I am working offline, the QA export method does not present any problem.

Does anyone have the same inconvenience?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a possibility to change the AutoPick key from Ctrl to something else.

memoQ lets me configure keyboard shortcuts for every type of useless function, but apparently not for the one I use most...

Ideas are greatly appreciated.

Personally I do not think it can be changed currently. You might want to ask Kilgray's support team and report their reply back here? It would be interesting to know!

You can glue together as many docs as you need. Select several files => Create View.
When in glued view, you cannot join or split segments, but if you still need it so much that you can't complete the work without joining or splitting segments, you can just close the glued view and open the normal one. All changes from glued view are instantly saved in normal file.

I used to see Google Translate results in the TM windows. But recently, the Google Translate results disappeared even when the Google machine translation plugin was enable. Same with Microsoft Machine Translation plugin.

Do you know why?

Maybe these systems are "checking" whether somebody is able to translate by his/her own? ;) :-D

That sounds like an improvement to me. I think that the linking of CAT tools to the likes of Google Translate brings those CAT tools into disrepute. I admit to using DeepL Translator (seems better than GT) if I want to read something in a language I don't understand, e.g. Chinese, Swedish or Hindi. But those aren't languages I have set up on my CAT tool.

I have a fairly large XML document with 4000 segments.
My customer has requested that certain XML tags should have a specific translation for a specific term, whereas other XML tags should have a different translation for the same term.

Is there some way to search for XML tags so I can check that I have made the requested changes?
1. I can see the tags in the preview; can I browse from them?
2. The exported bilingual 2-column RTF contains only tag references, such as {1}. Is there some way that I can show the full tags?
3. Because memoQ hangs when I try to export the target document, I cannot check that.

When in the Bilingual Export Wizard in my MemoQ 2013 after clicking the link Export bilingual and choosing 2 column rtf, I can select the checkbox "Export the full text of inline tags" that presumably does what you require, although I have never tried.

Regarding 1. and 3., exploring "Import with options" and/or Format>Edit inline tags may help.
And sometimes the Help feature also helps.

this is just what I wanted. Unfortunately my memoQ 7.8.175 always resets my activated "Export the full text..." to the standard internal format.

People have the right to like or dislike machine translation (and related tools). But this forum is about support and specifically, this thread is about the need for support regarding the MT plug-ins. Your comment, on the other hand, seems like MT-shaming (and maybe also shaming people who use MT??).

Hi Elif,

It is not harsh at all. And my intention was not shaming. But a kind of warning.

People who are helping MT to make better and better results contribute to a very chaotic world of translation. Also who are using MT, sooner or later will rely on it so much, they will forget how to translate. It will make human brain lazy and soon a very good translator will be able to provide only a medium quality by his/her own, later the quality of his/her translation that she/he could provide without MT will deteriorate very quickly.
We still talk about translators here.

And what if that big MT data that was done by translators will not be accessible once and a company needs a document to be translated? And there will be nobody any more who can translate it.
We need human brain. We need to use our brain.

All font lost after import TWO-column RTF file.

I exported the two-column RTF file to check in the MS WORD file. Then I found that when I import the 2-column file back into the MEMOQ.
I have to unclick "Do not update if the source text is different".

After I imported this file I found that all fonts including BOLD, Italic have been lost.

I tried other files , and got the same result.

This problem was found yesterday and I tried to reinstall MEMOQ , but the problem is still there.

If anyone of you meet the same problem before?
